Voertaal is Engels.
Mental Health Europe is delighted to invite you to the film screening of the short film “Withdrawals” (2021), directed by Jorja Hudson, followed by a panel discussion about over-medicalisation and transparency in mental healthcare on 23 November from 18:30-20:00 CET.
The short film follows four friends who quit their antidepressants cold turkey and grapple with various side effects. The online event will bring together the director Jorja Hudson and producer Kelly Stier of the short film, MEP Tilly Metz, a co-chair of the Coalition for Mental Health and Wellbeing in the European Parliament, as well as Maltese youth mental health advocate Antonella Bugeja, and Chloe Lebbos from the European Pharmaceutical Students' Association.
The webinar aims to raise awareness about over-medicalisation in mental healthcare while providing a platform for users of mental healthcare services to share their experiences and normalise conversations about mental ill-health. Speakers will also outline the way forward for mental healthcare in Europe.
