It contains key data on child and youth mental health. Its findings show:
- Females are more affected than males, with 1 in 4 15-19 years old females living with a mental health condition.
- The prevalence of mental health conditions in 0-19 year olds has increased by one third over the past 15 years.
- 1 in 4 countries lack community-based child and adolescent mental health services.
- The quality of care varies greatly across the Region.
- Despite the high need, everyday environments are not adequately supporting the mental health of our children and young people
- 1 in 10 adolescents report being bullied.
