WHO/Europe is kicking off a series of five pivotal hearings to explore the powerful megatrends shaping the future of health and well-being in Europe.

- 30 January 2025: “Ageing is living: working for a lifetime of health and well-being”
- 21 February 2025: “Health systems of the future: harnessing technology and innovation in health, for everyone, everywhere”
- 28 February 2025: “Climate change and health: shaping a resilient future”
- 7 March 2025: “Health security and emergency preparedness: building a safe and secure European Region”

From climate change and demographic shifts to emergency preparedness, NCDs and mental health, and the future of health systems, these discussions will inform the development of the Second European Programme of Work (EPW2) 2026–2030 – a roadmap for a healthier future for all in the WHO European Region.
Hearings are open to governmental and public institutions representing sectors that share a commitment to improving health and well-being, as well as not-for-profit non-state actors and civil society organizations, academic institutions, professional organizations, WHO Collaborating Centres, inter-governmental organizations, and development partners.
The feedback gathered will directly influence EPW2, ensuring that it addresses key health challenges and promotes resilience and equity across the Region.
